Welcome citizens of Wide Awake Wylie! Scott has been a local resident for over 20 years and has watched the Wylie population grow from just over 15,000 to over 57,000. He understands what makes Wylie so special, or as we say “Wylie, Wylie”. It is core values, relationships, commerce without the sacrifice of infrastructure, fiscal responsibility, stewardship through accountability, and forward thinking for growth and sustainability.
Scott believes his experiences in the Business, Government, and Volunteer fields will help him interpret the needs of ALL the citizens of Wylie from ALL backgrounds, cultures, and ethnicities and be a representative for each one, individually and collectively. The City of Wylie is diverse, as evident in the diversity in our schools. He believes this diversity not only helps foster an atmosphere of inclusion but opens each of us to receive different points of view from different perspectives. We are better together!
